ABOUT
Simona Mehandzhieva
I am a passionate Sagittarius, who grew up glued to the screen watching wacky cartoons. I would get sucked into the world of colorful 90s shows like ‘The Powerpuff Girls’, ‘Courage the Cowardly Dog’ and ‘Scooby Doo’.
After graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2020 I went on to create worlds full of madness in the forms of film. My two shorts DUO and The Dip have travelled around the world to Annecy, MONSTRA, Fest Anca, LSFF and in 2019 I received the award Best New Animation from the BFI Future Film Fest.

Apart from my love to direct I also enjoy working as part of a team and I've had the opportunity to create projects for incredible clients like Netflix, Elton John, Rolling Stones, Adidas and so many more. For the last two years I have had more Clean-Up Lead/Supervision opportunities and I've helped bring the team together in order to create a visually strong and beautiful piece. My way of working is that every problem has a creative way to be fixed.
